Limitations In Freedom
I meant to submit this to the Loves Good contest if I didn't when I submitted it the first time.
This design is about the power of ideas to elevate us beyond automatons and also the limitations of human comprehension.
The linework looks better at a larger scale. View it here.
The lightbulb dude on the floor is classic.
best lightbulb design in a longggwhile
AWESOME!! i have to be honest and say that i haven't always thought your stuff worked on a shirt but this is perfect. i LOVE it.
This is really good. And as far as Threadless goes - it's much more accessable than your previous stuff.
great colors!!!! unique
Good to see you back! Great design
This is great, I really need to finsh our wallet design.
NGAZIN REDUX $5
the concept for this is great, but i'm not really feeling the placement of it on the shirt.
Wow, a design from NGAZIN that actually looks like it was intended to be placed on a tee! I really dig the lightbulb fire head dude.
I really dig this dude... it's great.
Awesome. The blue lines could be thicker, or maybe made into neg space.
They def look too thin in the Threadless image but if you see it larger I think that they look better.
Check it here.
The blue lines look too thin in the Threadless image but if you view the larger version on my Flickr page I think it looks good.
totally not me but i can see that is something really good
the spirit is goooood
and i love how it looks on a pink tee
this is the kind of stuff I really hoped u'd come back with. awesome 5
Sweet drawing. For some reason I feel like I would like the genie better if he were looking slightly to the side instead and not right at the viewer. . . but awesome job nonetheless.
It's interesting that you point out the direction of the subjects' gaze and I think I can explain your feelings.
I use different tools, processes to make images but one thing that is stylistically consistent for me is confrontation of the viewer.
I have friends who will never have their characters look directly at the viewer. This causes the characters to look coy, playful, ashamed, sad...I would define what those friends do as an "indie rock", or passive, attitude. I feel punk and metal things when I draw. Punk and metal can be techically complex or simple but music from those genres are generally direct and confrontational.
Nice colours too!
Hmm well in that case NGAZIN, give that genie a bitchin' green mohawk =D
Just kiddn'. It's your design, and if you like it this way because it embodies your feelings/emotions, then that's awesome =)
interesting, i felt he was looking over my left shoulder. like he could see something behind me.
The title refers to the idea that there are freedom in limitations and freedom in limitations.
I imagined the lightbulb headed spacesuited man to just be a suit for this abstract being. The suit appears slight and weak but the gaseous being that inhabits it is imposing and satisfied with its' own being.
this is the shit
I gotta say that I'm kind of amazed at how low the score is myself and I am a guy with no expectations.
Should have scored a lot higher!
This score is horse shit
How did this get such a low score?? This is one of the best designs on Threadless in ages.
