Whether it's by the light of a campfire, or the light of a projector bulb, people have always been fascinated with telling each other stories. Before the Europeans arrived, the Lenape people lived for thousands of years on the land that would become Manhattan. Perhaps it is their rich storytelling tradition that still affects the area today.

Special thanks to Mr. Rocks for all of his help with this, as well as everyone else who offered suggestions and ideas. To see detailed images, please check out the blog .

brilliant, but the placement should be bottom right and bigger image... good design, tho.

i prefer this one to the similar one with the scouts and the campfire animals that just finished scoring.

Thanks Ian, it was a pleasure to help you out, and the design is great. I'm glad you took your time on it man. $5!

Sinwon: In defence of my friend, he's been working on this for ages, a very long time before a similar sub went up. Although similar idea, this is different in alot of ways, and executed with a completely different style.

Well done again Ian. A possible winner for sure!!

dont like the placement but the illustration is beautiful enough to make me not care

Really well done! Center it and I'll buy it

I like this illustration a lot. It reminds me of the intro to the old 80's tv series, "Amazing Stories," which is a good thing.

I agree with others, the placement bugs me and it needs to be bigger.

Thanks for the comments so far. I was trying to decide between several different placements for this, and it looks like I've chosen the wrong one. If this gets picked up, I'd certainly be open to changing the placement.

Such wonderful work here. Everything is crisp, so well drawn and the use of negative space is perfect! $5

this turned out so great! love the colours and the smoke is done so well

Cool. I don't like the placement, though. maybe you could have the fire on the bottom and the smoke rising into the center.

the czar

Very nice, the smoke is very cool, not too obvious. Think it should be centered, though.
