thats funny, i thought this was from stickymike at first!
the eyes make me think of stickmike's food with faces characters.
i like the frosting
agreed, i thought stickymike as well :) looks good though
funny stuff, I like the light blue option.
:) $5 I love the illustration! Even though it's another food with faces tee, I dig it :)
I THOUGHT this was a work of stickymike?!?! wtf?
Hurray for lard! $5
I lost my dad recently due to cholesterol problems. I like the design but sensitivity issues prevent me from rating it accordingly, so for fairness sake I won't rate it.
Cute idea though.
Sorry to hear that, Tomie.
The light blue one looks so much like this. Nice illustration though..
Some foods have faces. Get over it. 5$
Very darling, loving the cupcake dude, you can almost hear that old tymey cartoon music, yadda da da yadda da da.
ash! ..or light blue. $5
i love it on the sagestone.
great job, 5
Fine @$$ job!
I can dig it. ;)
I love the light blue.
good point Golden Sparrow
The white looks best, nice idea!
I think it's HILARIOUS that a lot of you believe that stickymike developed that style of illustration. I like stickymike's work, but seriously, that's not his style...unless, of course, he worked for almost every cartoon illustrator in the 1920s/30s
I'm sorry for your loss, Tomie.

[whirzle1] i think everyone is having a problem with this submission looking very similar to stickymikes submissions... not just that he developed this style (which he didn't)...
but stickymike certainly has carved his on niche here as doing illusrations like this.. it's like direct copy...
I have a problem with people saying that stickymike "owns" this niche. Stickymike has 3 designs in this "style". That's like saying that every slick vector illustration is a copy of d3d's work. Or every pop culture reference is a glennz.
I think if people would look around more instead of having Threadless as their only source of art, they wouldn't automatically say "Stickymike-influenced" and would instead see it as an early-20th century cartoon influence. .
^^this from the guy that's scored over 18ooo subs...
whirzle1 makes a great point and The Golden Sparrow
provided two links in his comments to old characters
that used the "Pacman" eyes decades and decades ago.
Here's a link to a webpage where the author
actually focuses his attention on how so many
old characters's eyes look like "Pacman"
( it's halfway down the page )
...and for the love of all that is holy - no more talking food! Once the competition is over, submit anything you like... seriously!
Please not natural but ash and light blue and delightful.
love on sagestone, looks way trippy
Great, i love the black & white, very classic. Funny idea!! $5
the eyes are not copyrighted by anyone.
You did one hell of a job on these old school characters
very retro and it looks awesome - $5
