About "Hiding in fiction, do not disturb" by Introverts
Reality is overrated. Some people deal with it head-on—I prefer to
strategically disappear into a book fort. Not dramatic, just practical.
Life is loud, people ask too many questions, and fiction is way easier
to process than real life.
HSPs and introverts know that books aren’t just entertainment,
they’re a survival tool. A quiet place to hide when the world feels like
too much. No notifications, no awkward small talk—just me, my
stack of books, and the comforting knowledge that I can ignore
reality for a little longer.
If I’m buried in fiction, assume I’m unavailable. If I resurface, I
probably need snacks.
