When I was a little kid, my grandparents had a box of wooden tanagram pieces and it came with a booklet filled with challenges - you had to use the pieces to make shapes, from simple shapes like a square, to more complex shape like a table. Each challenge had a gapless version of the shape for you to try to match. I had the hardest time with the fox shape - I thought it was cute and am very competitive with myself, so I sat and rearranged the pieces over and over again until I finally made the fox.
I decided to use a tanagram fox in my design for the monochrome contest because it would be nice to win another challenge with the tanagram fox shape!
