Dang - extra slashes everywhere...
Thanks! The submission thing was a little bugged, so here's my original explanation for the concept:
The idea behind this shirt was to integrate all or part of a written short-story into the design. Text (even lots of text) on a shirt is nothing new, but I wanted to see how much of a narrative I could integrate into the art without bogging it down or making it feel like an image snagged from a book.
wow, very nice...
I love this, and have to say, it's one of the more original shirts I've seen posted.
This is amazing! I hope they print this, and when they print this, I hope that they do it justice. $5!!!
wow, nice to see something original, and very well executed too.
beautiful job man!
one of the most awesome and original subs in a very long time. wonderful combination of artforms (design, writing) AND techniques, styles and distress work.
First time I've ever wanted a 6 box.
this design is off the hook! 5
Thanks! The story was kinda culled together from different experiences I had taking the bus to work. All the details (people, events) are real, but I don't think any of them happened on the same day.
This is beautiful. The only thing that bothers me is the poor grammar/sentence structure...but that's just because I'm very anal about that stuff.
i live on one of the streets in the full story. this creeped me out, but i love the design!
even if i didn't like the design, which i do, i would buy it just for that story. im writing a one similar to this right now. i thought i would let you know that. seriously. beautiful.
love the shirt. i'd so buy
Really a great design ! $5
^ Yes. Thanks!
Yeah, Austin! Route 183. I've met Leslie a few times on the street, but no, he doesn't ride my bus : )
Now THIS is art.
Yeah, everyone is all ranting and raving over your design.
I think the use of snippets from every day life experiences are a great tool to connect with others on a raw, all-guards-down, this-is-me level. It worked for Jared Hess.
The text works for me at this size. It reads as texture. Not so distracting. Besides the purpose of the text has already been served, your Threadless audience has enjoyed a cool story.
Good job Sport!
I wish they would print this shirt!
