HOLD ON --- PICKING OR PLANTING ??
I leave this open to your interpretation, saying ANYWAY, it's singing in the rain!
This design has been 100% RECYCLED from existing imagery, changed, recombined and redrawn by hand with ink on found paper, to fit into my version of GREEN IS AS GREEN DOES.
and thankyou for your comments!
one color (very dark olive green) on creme shirt.

such a great illustration
thankyou every one!
So well done!!
Your character's head is an exact copy of nielquisaba's.
Nice Illustration! Very cool.
yes Haasbroek, as I said in the abouts, this is 100% recycling imagery (and Niel knows about it)
thanks all of you!
yeah. hard work, whahahah!! not bad for a start!
wow, this is amazing, love your style
Love the illo style, mixes an ancient feel with that of a storybook modern tale of epic proportions. Breezy and bold.
Wow! thanks for the amazing support!
This is really super awesome but it looks like you just jacked the monster from Niel's "Perfect Timing". Hope it's just a coincidence because I'm giving this a 5
ok, you already explained that in your description, my b.
You are right, Moulin Bleu. this theme induced recycling that I chose is giving the perfect timing monster a sibling, recognizable yet diffrent, and sent it somewhere else to plant its little whizz wheels.
I just thought that this essential addition plus my rather humble interpretation of the age old theme was allowing such similarities. ? - But judge for yourselves everyone.
& dont just chop my naughty hedd off :) thankyou.
Also I do wanto remind of Hayao Myazaki, where I first saw these hairy chaps, and the whole Ruebezahl myth, Sesame street, and many many other very similar influences.
And Thankyou again everyone for all the attention and comments.
Absolutely love this!
interesting choice to decide to make something based on someone else's work though....
isnt the whole art history constantly quoting each other, silently implying that any halfway serious connoisseur will know at least the milestones?
But thankyou for appreciating my work, Chengui, as I do love yours very much.
very, very well penciled mate, you should be well chuffed with that..
Holy geez. BEAUTIFUL illustration. A wonderful breath of fresh air as I push through all these submissions.
Thanks again and again. All this response is putting massive big smiles on my face and pouring fuel on the fire for my new works.
I just saw the Big Hokusai retrospective in Berlin MGB. If you happen to be in town, this is definetely the place to spend some hours!! Mindblowing.
