Immediately, this looks like a portrait of a child, instead this painting portrays an adult who feels like a kid.—someone still adjusting and comprehending life. A person trying to understand responsibilities and duties in adulthood. “Growing Up” is about the on-going learning process; understanding who you are and how you want to live your life. The painting questions thoughts such as “Am I making enough money for next month’s rent?” “Am I following my career dreams?” “Should I get married?” “Am I happy?”
The running shoes are purposely large, kind of like when a kid wears an older's person's shoes, they'll grow into them.
I hope you like it.
Really nice work. Reminds me of Anthony Micallef.
this is pretty fucking cool.
I do like it! The only minor thing i might like changed is first dollar sign, then ring, then house.
The order was based on my inspiration of it.
Thanks for the comments!
GREAT style! 5
Woo! Thanks. I never know what the reaction will be to each design I do. Very pleased with the comments and supportive votes. Thank you!
No it isn't Macaulay Culkin. Haha. But he does have similarities, especially now that you mentioned it. The image was inspired from an old postcard, 100 years ago.
The funny thing is there is an exhibit displaying Renaissance art, and it states: "Many of the pictures bear striking resemblance to some of the contemporary celebrities who adorn our newspapers, suggesting that, in 500 years, certain facial types have changed very little."
Really nice, and actually really poignant.
Oh, and in response to Omerican, it could be printed using simulated process.
Thanks for the comments and support!
