The challenge was

Create an original t-shirt design inspired by Back to the Future.

GREAT SCOTT, it's 2015!

If our calculations are correct, Marty McFly will arrive in the present on October 21 of this very year! To prepare, we'll need 1.21 gigawatts of electricity, mass production of hoverboards, and a brand new t-shirt to make him feel right at home.

If this design challenge is your density, grab a Pepsi Free and start designing a tee inspired by Marty's adventures through time. Use your favorite elements from any of the three time-altering films: the Delorean, the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance, the Clock Tower, hoverboards, sports almanacs, and wagons full of manure are all up for grabs. Heavy.

  • Designs must be your original artwork.

  • You may use any characters from the Back to the Future series, but mashups, parodies, or references to any other characters are not allowed.

  • You can use aspects of any characters from the movies, but actor likeness is not allowed. Don’t get the difference? Check out our examples below.

  • Don't talk to anyone, don't touch anything, don't do anything, don't interact with anyone and try not to look at anything.
