I'm really glad you like this! I worked a lot on the facial expressions as I thought they where importan, glad you notices, HERKY.
As for the colors...I think that is something very personal and it is almost impossible to agree in which colors we like the most. But colors are a minor detail since they can be easily changed. Thanks a lot for the feedback! |

It's not a bishop. It's the white king. The white queen has slept with the white king. It's good. I like it. The shaded lids make the white king look like a woman...which is fine.

Anaeromyxo is right: black queen sleeps with white king. The pieces are based on the most popular type of chess game (I think it's called Stauton). Well, the white king, therefore is the winner, he did the checkmate!

i agree with the bed being a different color, and i'm partial to a red bed to add to the drama of an affair. i think i'd prefer having the king walk in.

o wait that is the king, lol. the eyes on the king in bed are slanted almost like a seductive woman's, so that threw me off.

Yes guys, I agree infidelity is an old subject, just as love, hate, war etc. I mean, this are human themes and as such we go over and over them, what can be innovative or captivating or for the contrary boring or flat is the way they are taken by the artist, illustrator, writer and so on. I love this desig, great stuff. I would have liked to see the the husband as being a white piece "same as the queen" and the "other man" black. Just fits that stereotype better! haha White Wife cheats with the young black male. !

This is a scream. Deceptivey simple style, and the dynamic lighting adds an almost Film Noir look to it I hope this gets made!

You know the white king is a king because that is how king piece looks like (small cross on the top) nevertheless if you see a white queen there thats fine too, the story still works that way! I did his eyelids like that to give him an expression of the winner's superiority, he is thinking "I'm the coolest guy and I beat you looser" hehehe. SPIRALSWORD, I'm very glad you noticed the atmosphere I tried to create, I think it enhances the dramatism of what's going on. Ok, I shut up now. Thanks guys!

This is awesome. I think the reason the white king looks feminine is because the shadows on his eyes look like eyeshadow. So maybe change that up a bit. Also, if you made the white king sitting up taller in bed (i.e. taller than the queen) that would make him look more masculine. Basically this is amazing.

The lighting is cool, but the only character I like is the dark king... his queen doesn't looked horrified enough, and the light king is just. I dunno. I don't like his expression, or his smoke rings.

haha great idea, and great design.
the only thing i'd say is maybe make the white king look more masculine, aside from the tops you cant really tell which is which. and the eyelashes on the queen are the only thing that people who dont know the pieces would have to work off of. |
