Unfortunately it's a pain to get a shirt of Marilyn printed - it's hell to license her likeness. Which SUCKS because I LOVE this shirt. Pretend it's Bette Middler!

I like the idea, but I don't think that she actually looks like Marilyn Monroe.

Robsoul on Nov 09 '06 Does it "really" have too look like marilyn, I mean come on ppl get over it, the general idea is there...errrr That would actually be a great tattoo. Kep the starfish, it adds character. As a guy I would want this on burgundy or navy.

DEFINITELY keep the starfish! But I agree that her bustline needs some work - not bigger really, but maybe reshaped? Right around where her left breast looks weirdly lumpy. Right now I'm getting sort of a man's-torso/drag-queen vibe from her chest's shape :)

It looks like Marilyn in that any blonde voluptuous pin-up style girl brings to mind Marilyn.... but the face just does not look like Marilyn's face... chin too long and pointy, mouth too big maybe? It's hard to pinpoint.

i love marilyn monroe. and i love mermaids. but there's just something "off" about this submission. the concept is fantastic...but it could just use some major refinement and detail. i like the face and i like the fins. that's about it.

the face doesn't look much like marilyn monroe. that might be a good thing? it looks sorta manly, though. and the "knee" curve of the tail looks a little square/awkward
