I've personally grown rather tired of the evolution parodies.

frickinawesome: it's not really the same idea as that shirt at all. a dude getting fatter = evolution? this shirt is social commentary, not complaining about getting fat

The idea might have been done before, but this is really well designed, and the tools turning into an icecream are a great addition.

moosedinner: I do think the other shirt was also going for the same social commentary, substituting the evolutionary process in a much more subtle and clever way, doing the same thing as this shirt without the actual "monkey to human" evolution illustrations hitting you over the head at what it is trying to point out.

the other shirt was about aging, not evolution. the two are not at all the same. to me, this shirt says: look at all the progress we've made as humans, we get fat eating ice cream cones. the other shirt is: older guys get fat. the title of the other is "life." it has nothing to do with evolution, and there is no irony at all.

Moosedinner is right. The T-shirt is about us Westerners having developed to the point where we no longer need to lead active lives/catch food/worry about survival and can just stand about eating stuff. I think its more sophisticated than a shirt about getting old. Also, i've never seen this particular parody before. 5$

Okay. Uh all of you decisive buckets of sludge can shut your pie holes any time now. I enjoy reading all these comments. Theres at least 10 comments saying "De Ha Vu!" while you others are just sittin' there goin "Ayahu! Duh, Iba bubba seen iss ba whore. Scrotum! Yum!" :B. How about we do a couple more of these insightful comments? OK? Because I love these "rancid festering sputum bag from hell" comments. I like the design. It potrays it like it is instead of lardbucketing it up like the fatass wieners in Texas.

moosedinner: this is the last time im commenting about my comment (mostly because this shirt is done scoring in like two hours from now). Yeah, you're probably right about the other shirt being in no way or form trying to emulate the evolutionary table we are so used to seeing, what with a silhouette of a man side by side growing and continually evolving towards an end creation like the first picture, but has changed in some way. What the HELL was i thinking?!? Honestly, to say that the shirt i pointed out isn't trying to emulate evolutionary process is just silly to say, so don't say it anymore. Ever. The shirt on bustedtees.com is labeled "Life", which doesn't have to imply one life, but life in general, swapping humorously how one evolves over their lifetime for the concept here. So basically the bustedtees shirt just cuts out the beginning and middlemen of this shirt, and just focuses its concept on the final link in the chain and proves its point that way, which i think is much more subtle and impressive. How much is studioduplo paying you to hold steadfast to your opinion like that? And studio, im not not knocking your design, it's not bad at all, i just think it's a tad too close to the other one. Had you never seen that shirt before making yours?

nope, never even heard of 'bustedtees' before you started talking about it - do you work for them? how much are they paying you to keep mentioning their website on threadless? i don't pay moosedinner either - i think he's right all the time for free.
