i have nipples. and therefore, no qualms about having a shirt over them, which also happens to depict a nipple or two. this is not a design in bad taste, it is well drawn and executed, and i don't think that a simple aspect of human anatomy should take the attention away from that. 5$

Eyes, hair & tattoo are normally things you see on someone you're passing on the street, nipples, however, are not. Nobody is necessarally saying that they are a prude by not wishing to wear a nipple on the front of the T-shirt, it's just a personal choice to not get looks from friends, aquaintances & strangers when they wear what is otherwise a beautiful, & wearable, design. If it were a piece of art I hang in my home, the nipple would be fine, but it's a piece of clothing, that if I'm not mistaken ususally covers our nipples (not our eyes & hair). I don't want to have to censor when & where I choose to wear my Threadless T's, as I'm sure that's what other people are saying as well; so it comes down to: remove the nipple & maybe get printed (& I for one would buy it) or don't remove it to keep artistic integrity & stand little chance of printing it here. |

I don't see the big problem with a nipple. I have two of them. Most people I know have two of them. If they don't there is something wrong with them. x.x
Anyway I love the illustration, not crazy about the bar code tattoo, but otherwise I would definatly wear this shirt. |

Oread (and all you don't like the nipple) this is undoubtedly about cultural contexts and taboos, so here in Spain and most of Europe you can wear nipples, naked bodies or whatever that has to do with the freedom of our bodies and thats just FINE , you might only have the censorship of "some" people over 80's years old. Since I am completely in favour of being confortable with our bodies and not having to hide them, I still think this nipple is a great choice.

AGAIN WITH THE NAKED CHICKS. I do NOT want a girl on my tshirt. I just don't. I don't see the point in it. To me, this illustration has been done. Over and over and over. And what's with the nipple? Is that really necessary? I could never wear this to school, around my parents, or let alone..my grandmother. It just isn't appropriate. There is a place for CLASSY nudity in beautiful artwork, but there isn't a place for images of nudity on clothing. Its just trashy. I don't really see why ANYONE would want to wear this. The design itself - isn't that good! It would be different if you actually did a good job! Yeah, and too the people who think nipples are 'natural'. Yes, this is true. But you don't see women walking around in public places bearing them, do you? I don't go flashing my nipples for everyone to see! The more I keep typing, the more upset I get about this design. I'm sorry, but I hate it.

I love it just the way it is and I want it but I just can't wear it (especially to work) with the nipple. I have no qualms over the nipple but I wouldn't be able to wear it as much as I would like.

I love it, but I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing it with the nipple. Also, I don't like the barcode tattoo. I really like how the design goes up over the shoulder. A nice idea, but I don't see it flying with the nipple.

i think i just don't get it. it's a well drawn design. look at her halo made from twigs (clearly, this lady is not an angel, despite her wings, due to the organically fabricated halo). look at her eyes, wonderfully depicted. look at her wings. look at her tattoos and how they seem to reflect the leaf designs stemming from the main illustration. look at the way the flowers on her tattoo are in bloom whereas the others are merely buds. look at the QUALITY of the drawing and also the number of people who might purchase it.
short of that, leave CONSTRUCTIVE comments, not simply the word "nipple" as though that sums up the entire design. personally, i love this and can't really understand the upset, considering that there have been other designs printed by threadless which are far more offensive: "timmy wished for ray gun eyes" contains a boy setting fire to a little girl's arm and other designs, like "happy hospital" and "chicken war" also contain nipples, they just happen to be on men. deal with it, people. |

There are so many nice surprises in this illustration, too, from the halo to the tear to the barcode printed on her chest. Once these tiny teen hipsters get over the effing nipple, they might be able to see the art for what it is- BEAUTIFUL.

Take a look at the ages of the people commenting... it's not only teenagers; however, teenagers will have a problem wearing this at school. Very few of the people commenting about the nipple are saying that it's a bad design, the comments on the design are generally well-favoured.
Petanca... I absolutely agree that it's about cultural contexts & taboos, but that's what we have to deal with in North America; as you commented: the beaches and the general concept of nudity (both public & private) is different in Europe. The people that have a problem wearing a nipple on the front of a T-shirt shouldn't be bashed in this blog because of it... they aren't bashing the people who would choose to wear it, they're only commenting that it's not for them. |

This shirt is quite nipply in the way its nipple is sturdily nippled. Nipples to you, you talented nipple! Doesn't the word just lose all meaning when you say it over and over? Anyway, the illustration is something i normally wouldn't wear, but somehow you make a flirty little cool biker's tatoo into something more, and the white roses that extend onto the shoulder make this one a definite keeper. Good nipple!
