My other submissions

FourtyFour
just a submission for Patent Pending Loves, can be used on any dark color. its basically two emo kids looking out a window with their legs in the shape of a heart.
i have another one in the works right now.
I'm still just fooling around with illustrator.

no i didnt take it, i drew it
i got inspiraton from a quote from the song: "its a brand new day", because i always think a brand new day is something sunny to look forward to, and obviously emo kids dont really look forward to a new day, cause it means more emoness overload things for them

For the record though, if this were printed i'd totally buy it, i was just thinking that's weird that you said you drew it by inspiration...

kinda, ive never seen that photo in particular, but i saw one similar to it. i did actually drew the kids, but for the record, the window was not drawn if that clears it up.

I don't like how you said you drew this. That bugs me. I like the design though. I guess if I were judging design, I'd give it a 4, but I agree with the 0 for plagiarism. :(sorry.

All the emo shirts blow, compaired to this one. Emo is dead, so lets keep it that way.

Also, Note to all fools: Its not Plagiarism. If you copied an Image and radically modified it so that it its not recognizable to the original art work, then it becomes your own art. Take a graphic class and learn a thing or two.

Except for the fact that it IS recognizable as the original artwork. Look at the shapes of the air, the placement of the hands, the placement of the FEET. Even the wrinkle on the left person's shirt is present in this illustration. I like it, but the fact that its EXACTLY the same and you claim that you did it on your own...hah.

Even on the photgraph where the grass is illuminated on the other side of the road, it shows up in this image.

4 for the design, 0 for denial.

hmm. Completely recognizable, completely unoriginal. shouldnt just be judged on whether you like it. Take morals, and maybe effort into account.

i haven't scored many submissions tonight and there have been three cases of plagarism already. Appropriation is cool, but in this case you would need to get permission from the photographer and give gredit right at the beginning when deescribing this design - i.e. "This design is created with permission from ____, who took the original photo. Bla bla, etc..." No. Instead when you were called on your shit, you insisted "I drew the two kids..." which is crap. It's too bad because I like it. But I can't vote for dishonesty.

I don't know why people think you can change an image and it becomes yours. It is not true. Copyright cases uphold "derivative works", as meaning no matter how much you change something it is never yours. Besides, artist or designs shouldn't be trying to change anything. They should be making their own images. It's called self respect. Unless you want to be known for ripping people off. That's different

Karma sucks doesn’t it? At least when my band, Motive for Movement's former booking agent posted a threadless design on myspace we didn’t know it was plagiarized, never printed it, & never claimed it was ours. How horrible is it that you made fun of us without any idea why or how it came about on our page and then you turn around and blatantly rip off another artists work. You even lie & say you drew it. Wow… I’m baffled. Threadless really should research these designs before they allow someone to post someone else’s artwork just like we have learned to research our artwork.
