Taking an image from another's work and placing it in a submission to Threadless in order to win $1,500 is not something you should be proud of. Adding a broken TV, necktie, and a broken desk does not constitute a substantial change since it is the HULK image that is exactly the same image from issue 377 -- I'm not trying to attack you. I'm simply hoping you see that using other's work without permission for your financial benefit is out of place. I'm hoping you create more submissions for Threadless. I think the concept of your design is better than the average submission and I love seeing comic book characters in designs ( I own almost 4,000 comic books and the majority consists of superhero comics ), but all artists should honor each other by not copying other works without permission. Just a note, I'm not addressing parody - that's a different issue.

meh. ill stick by my statement. minus the neck tie and tv and desk its still not the same. its a silouhte (spelling) with different green highlites than the comic cover. technically its not a copy at all. if it is. then alot of work on threadless is copy. making a siloutte (spelling wtf i cant spell) i think, does not constitute copys.

but thank you regardless. i do see what you're saying. ill just have to try to free-hand it next time.

awful, besides i think you can even get in trouble for using copyrighted images

im pretty sure i wouldn't cause the image has been altered in at least five ways. its now the "artist's interperatation" (spell check)

you should make the hulk ripping off a shirt that says i hate mondays. but maybe thats cause i just chuckle at the thought of the hulk looking rather sad in a little shirt with a silly slogan. and maybe wearing funny glasses, a hat, a tie, and carrying a briefcase. thats just silly.

and seriously with the copyright stuff, first of all, look at the comments before you, cause everyones saying the same thing, and just comment on the guys artwork and idea and whatnot, and if you think it's a copyright issue, i think the 5 guys before you have probably emphasized it enough, and either way, let threadless deal with whatever it is.
