Japanese Text says 'PLAY WAR!' I hope - can never be 100% sure with these online translation programs... anyway - hope you like!

Lose the dice. Brilliant otherwise.

Uhh, the whole point of the Dice is because its PLAYING, like a GAME. Keep the dice, BUT I think its off a little bit BECAUSE of the dice position. {4}

The kanji translate as 'engeki sensou' which literally means "play war" but 'engeki' is not play as in a game, it is a play as in a performance onstage. So the meaning is not quite what you were looking for...

I would suggest a redesign and if you want it in Japanese, I would suggest the following: 戦争遊ぼう! (sensou asobou!) "Let's play war!"

Cool - thanks for the translation advice! :-)

I'm wondering if 'Play as a performance on stage' - still works as a concept - as it now has 2 meanings.. a theatre of war and a play as in a game with the dice visual... perfect rationale! ;-D

I personally like the dice it gives the design another dimension and I think it sits well on the shirt - I don't have a problem that it's off centre - that's part of the attraction for me... :-)

Looks best on the Red, if you redesign have more contrast with light-hearted play-games type images (the die and goody japany lettering is a good start) and realistic terrifying pics like the tanks

maybe if you had two dice instead of a single die. Also, put one on top of the picture so that it looks like you've rolled them onto a game board.

I would say two dice is better than one, and little smaller. Also, I'd remove the birds.

Hmm...I agree, the die is a little awkward. Hah, that's ironic...let's play war--with an awkward die...there's got to be something there...ok, maybe not. Maybe you could have it rolling in, with or without another die, as if out of a cup or hand or something. But no, I like the sun rays as they are. Keep the Japanese motif steady. [4]

I like the "theater of war" sense, which would allow you to lose the die, which just clutters up the image.

sorry, the computer I'm using right now doesn't let me write in Japanese, but if you know a little bit you'll get the idea - and to add to someone else's comment:
"Sensou wo asobimashou!" would be "Let's Play War!" or somesuch.
"Sensou wo asobou" is more like "PLay War!" in a general way, kind of emphatic. Try "Sensou wo asobo yo!" it would be even more emphatic with that "yo" on the end.

cool - thanks for that! :-)

I've found another source (a japanese colleague) that's going to help out too!...

I like it with the dice. It'd be kind of seen-it otherwise (in spite of the cool design). I'd buy.

i'd buy it without the dice. But Im not sure of it being on there. Its distracting and I cant figure out immediately. Ah well, pretty good.
