Ok, as the tea shirt went down a storm - (and for our American Cousins..). A Pantone swatch for your coffee... enjoy...

I need to pull out my Pantone book tonight to see if 4495 is right, but it's the idea that matters & I'll give this a $5 for sure.

I like the tea tee better :P Is it my monitor, or is the colour of your coffee a bit light (do you take cream?)?
Morgan_UK
Morgan_UK on Nov 02 '06
heheh.. I'm not a coffee drinker - but if it was me - I'd make it as weak as possible - I asked my wife as she's the coffee drinker of the house - so blame her if it's wrong!! :-)

You kept it "colour"--yay!

mongoosesrule05 on Nov 02 '06
lol Actually, that seems darker than how I drink my coffee! But no doubt, I like this shirt. Kind of curious how it would look on natural instead of straight white. Not a fan of white, but for some reason, this shirt feels like it needs to be a cream color.

i like the font you chose. and that you connected the t and l. what would have been cool to see is a bunch of different pantone colours for different things. oh well. whatev.

I think saskwinch means all on one shirt (colour of my lawn, etc.)... which I think would be a cool way to follow this since not everyone has someone bring them their coffee every morning.

Definitely dig the Pantone vibe but what's up with the putrid color? Not any coffee I'll be drinking...

Needs to be a darker brown.
Pink Apple
Pink Apple on Nov 02 '06
I don't think it needs to be a DARKER brown, but I do agree it needs to be a little less greenish. The tea tees colour was perfect... it was different wasn't it? Or I'm crazy.

please disconnect the t and l. it's such a cheap design trick. Good otherwise.
Morgan_UK
Morgan_UK on Nov 03 '06
cheap!... I prefer 'considered'.... :-)

As for the colour - it was always goingt o be tricky getting a colour to match everyone's taste!.. plus it'll probably come out a different colour if it ever went to print!

pooHED
pooHED on Nov 03 '06
You should 'consider' your kerning as well.
pooHED
pooHED on Nov 03 '06
oh, wait... maybe you SHOULDN'T consider your kerning.

...What is pantone?
Morgan_UK
Morgan_UK on Nov 07 '06
it's a swatch system used by designers to choose colour for printing purposes - it's an industry tool
fuzzi
fuzzi on Nov 07 '06
It's also copyrighted, so you'd better watch your ass :)
Morgan_UK
Morgan_UK on Nov 07 '06
heh... don't think they'll bother with a design that doesn't get printed...

A 5 for sure. Just need different pantone swatches for different people--I take my coffee black. :D

The Golden Sparrow
The Golden Sparrow on Nov 08 '06
I'm with khperkins... This is a cool idea but the color of my coffee is more like Pantone 4625 (hex - #361500), no cream no sugar, so I wouldn't wear this particular shirt.

I'm not sure how calibrated this monitor that I'm on is but to me it looks like your wife takes her coffee with some cream, sugar and maybe about a teaspoon of mustard!
Morgan_UK
Morgan_UK on Nov 08 '06
hahaha... I'll tell her that... ok I'll keep Pantone 4625 in the back of my mind...
