 This is a submission for the Loco Roco campaign. The theme for this, if you are not familiar, is "Spread the Joy". My design is the meloncholy tale of the tired and lonely bike dude who, fortunately for him, has a friend in Mr. Sun. It may be a rainy day in bike dude's heart, but at least it's a bright sunny day outside. This is my first design for threadless, so please... be gentle.

THe text would look neat a little more organic, handwritten. I really like the design, but agree the text makes it funny. I really want to give the guy a hug too, maybe a group one with the sun. That would be rather nice.

I like the text because it's way more expressive of the idea than it would be if I just used the illustration. AND IT'S BASKERVILLE... where's amalia?? Back me up!

(which reminds me, there was a cover to HOW magazine, it had a flower at the bottom that says "i love design!...if it were a cat, i'd name it helvtica 76. or young baroque.)

The text made me give this a score higher than the one I would give it without the words, because otherwise the two elements of the image are unconnected--keep it please

i have mixed feelings. i like the text bubbles, the striped background, but i don't like the text. maybe if they said something else? i like the guy, the design, and the colors, but i'm not partial to the sun.. something about his face haha

i agree, the message "spread the love" would not be conveyed w/o the text. I would take away the guy's speech bubble; the edges make it look like it should be a shout or sound effect. I would also take out the word 'sigh' and replace it with just the three periods (...) I forget what that's called, elipses maybe.
