if you took out the sexism, maybe changed what he was drawing and what the thing actually was, it could be really good but. (for example, (bad example but whatever) a sunset and his painting is of a moon coming up or a sunrise or something)
i think the point of this submission was to be sexist.
it's a joke played on those that ARE sexist.
oh well, whoever made this.
your joke was wasted, i guess.
I wasn't aware at the time that somebody else owned the idea of meat. Thank you for showing me the error of my ways.
Also, I think that since I'm a guy, people are going to automatically going to take this as a sexist design, whereas if it had been submitted by a lady designer it would be interpreted as anti-sexist. And that assumption would be a gender-based double standard in itself. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it!
The message about sexism didn't occur to me until I read the comments, chiefly because I read Dinosaur Comics daily, and generall think of human beings as meat sacks. Teehee.
On further consideration, it is an interesting idea. I like it, but I don't wear white shirts.
I like it (and I'm a girl). I think it's funny in a political cartoon kind of way. As maxandglad said I don't think you understand this at all. It's not sexist if it makes a comment about sexism. If I wore it, I'm sure people would get the idea that it's anti-sexist. I know a few guys who could wear this and get bludgeoned to death, though. I think it's all in the interpretation and who is wearing it.
i pretty much think that no matter who wears it is making a valid point. just because a guy wears it doesn't mean he behaves that way. I think he'd be making a comment about how guys shouldn't act.
Geez... it's having a go at sexism, not endorsing it... and the designer's gender would not make a difference. Some people are a little sensitive. I think it's clever.
I think the shirt is about a juicy steak and I loove me sum steak, especialy with some ketchup, nothin' sets off the flavor of a steak like some ketchup. I like it!!!!!!
I'm a girl, and I think it would seem a little bit less sexist - and be a better anti-sexism statement - if the woman wasn't quite so scantily clad and in such a provocative position. If she was looking a little more normal and everyday, and the guy STILL saw her as a 'piece of meat', then the message would be conveyed even better.
I like it and I don't think it is sexist either, more so it is pointing out sexism in society. secrectly robots is right and I think it would be interesting to see peoples perception of this design if it was subbed by a female. I think it would have the same effect if it was a female painting a semi naked male as well. Some people are over sensitive I guess, also how is this a copy of ^piece of meat^ ???? I would definitely wear this $5
I don't think it's sexist - I see how you were going for the opposite here. Try drawing it with a scantily clad man and I full dressed woman painting - I'm curious what reactions you'd get.
Actually I do agree that its a good piece. Its showing how that man thinks. A good twist is show the cow then show him painting the meat. But then again youll have some animal rights person on your ass saying meats murder so... Guess you just cant win my friend.
it amazes me how few here understand satire. it's seems puns are the only thing threadlessites get.
i like it. it makes a statement in a clever way. however it's not the sort of thing i'd wear because regardless of the context id feel uncomfortable wearing a scantily clad girl on my shirt.

I'm a girl and I like this! You should feel damn proud of the "contraversy" though. If you produce satire and nobody gets offended...well then you should just give up on satire. Maybe it would be even funnier if you had many people painting her and all painting different things. Then you could set it up differently and have her in the centre of a circle of artists. Maybe then skew the design off to the side a little. I like it. Five dollars and I'd buy it.
I love it. Not sure I'd wear it, cuz I'm more of a low-key person, and that would get me a lot of attention. But it's sure a powerful statement about how we tend to objectify others.
i think everyone going at each others throats over the whole sexism issue surrounding this shirt is exactly what makes this an excellent design, and I would wear it for exactly that reason $5 and a buy

sexist much?
Kithkin
yeah too sexist, and if you were looking it to be funny to even other sexists than yourself, it shouldve been a cat he was drawing.

um... not quite sure how he meant this, but if he meant this the way I thought it was, its sexist towards men if anything.
I, for one love it.
maxandglad
Kithkin. I don't think you understand this at all. It's not sexist if it makes a comment about sexism.
sohcahtoa
dig the idea, but not sure it's a shirt idea & the execution could use some refining

you mental midgets saying this is too sexist are ridiculous. that's the exact point.....to bring light to the fact that that's a sexist pov.
idiots.
pinup-artist
would anybody actually wear this? this is supposed to be a tshirt design, not art school social commentary.
Emma123
It's a comment about sexism; it's not actually sexist.
Nice design. Ehh, 4 or 5. Probs 5.
