a "J" in sign language moves...all you've got is the little finger sticking out...could be anything...

Very nice thought. Throw in a bit more.

I - O - Y ?

Unless the J is illustrated with its second movement, then it'd be J-O-Y. But for now, I read it as IOY.

Makes me wanna use sign language in other designs. less than awesome.

totallypeeps and kaloyster are right. That's not a J. The J in signlanguage has a motion. So... No.

you could make the design streak all over the shirt, back and front, and end up in the center of the front doing the sign language jargon. But then it would still be spelled wrong as others have pointed out. So it's all kinda dead in the water- maybe next time!

This is sick. Great concept, great colors, unique execution. I'd definately rock one.

I agree with totallypeeps. I really like the concept and design, but the "j" could be mistaken for an "i" because of the way it is drawn.

Simple but Impressive.

Well, I like it. Maybe the hands could have been a bit more articulated though. Really liked the colour scheme too.
Is that American sign? I'm only familiar with Auslan. You'd need more stripes to fingerspell "joy" in Auslan!

Thanks everyone for all the comments. Yes, it is not the complete motion for the letter 'J' - I sacrificed accuracy for simplicity.
When the girl/boy across the bar asks you what it says, you can show them how it's really signed, share a drink, then laugh at the ignorant designer.

Design aside, kudos to your excellent presentation. A lot of people here really don't know how to present their designs. You preview does yours justice.

I think a little arrow could have made the "I" into a "J." Also slightly bigger hands could be nice. Nonetheless, great idea / great effort. Mark it five, dude.

Aw I want this. I looks like joy to me.

When drawing a fingerspelled J it should be more complicated than that. That looks like a side ways I. I'd love to find a cool sign shirt but this is also very bland. Great concept though.

that's pretty intense, I must say. Not quite my shtick, but defnitely sweet.

Finally... a sign language shirt I like! It could use some minor improvements, but stick with the style. It's awesome.

It might work better if the hands were all bigger so you could see them from far away. I like the idea though

The design is a bit too small and simple, but good placement and great concept.
