I hate to be the one to point this out, but I have a 5 year old son, so I feel qualified.
Elmo wouldn't say "Me wish me was dead." Grimlock the Dinobot would say that if he were emo. Elmo just refers to himself in the third person, so he would say, "Elmo wishes he was dead." |

lol. yeah I thought about writing it in third person. but then wouldn't it be "Elmo wish Elmo was dead" ? that didnn't sound right to me. and " elmo wish he was dead" could be interpreted as elmo wishing someone else was dead. that's why I wrote it like that...grimlock. lol. I forgot about him.

honestly, i don't like this. i don't think Elmo's drawn very well, and i think the design just could've been better if done differently. i wouldn't wear this, and i can't see this being on a shirt.

ha, love it. if it wouldn't be so big with this, it'd be funny with comments from other characters. Like the grouch guy in the garbage can would say like, i wish you were dead too, etc. depending on different character personalities. but as i said, that'd probably make the design too big.

I've only been on threadless for a little over a month so I wouldn't know. but what I do know is that this idea was mine. Im sure others have thought up emo elmo before but I haven't seen any. especially ones put up with a myspace theme.

I really like this shirt!
I would suggest also that that instead of the "me wish" language, it should be "elmo wish elmo dead". Elmo talks in the 3rd person. But then, I am a purist. Sadly, I don't think this would ever get printed due to copyright. But excellent work. |
