this is nearly indestinguishable from Radios.

I wouldn't say indistinguishable, but it does look a lot like Radios, unfortunately. I liked the plugged idea, maybe shift it to a more 3D design? Then the wires would be more clearly wires, not just a frame (at a quick glance).

Make the outlets more prominent and revolve the design around them to match up with the title.

Tonteau on Oct 10 '06 Magenta/black combo is the best colour scheme. The wires 'round the outside make it a bit blocky. I'd prefer it with wires shooting off in different dirctions or summat. Good to see the British plug socket getting a run out, too.

excellent design, even if it is similar to radios. i agree, more 3-d would distinguish the wires apart from the rest of the design. also, green is awesome.

how many shirts featuring cute animals are there? or sillohettes? or framed by foilage designs? I can see the comparison to radios as it's a 2D illustration of music related equipment arranged in a rectangle - but the comparison stop there. they are both done in different style, this design is two colour, radios is one colour. sorry to be so defensive, but this myopic approach to critising design is really quite depressing. |

jwalsh on Oct 14 '06 dude i would have to agree with you this looks nothing like radios and people are always just ridiculous on this site and want to pinpoint any decent design as a copy of another but why post that on my product blog ... i see less sillohette examples out there than i do drawn ones. or fully illustated ones. its just a style of depicting something.

It was nothing to do with your shirt being a sillohette design - I even had a sillohette shirt printed along time ago on threadless. I've got no beef with any design style.
