The character has a leaf on his head because he's a golden boy ( like a "golden" apple).
I hope you understand what I mean...if not, it's not a problem, I know I'm crazy :)

i like it. a lot. and i agree with your idea; the text on the back would be really super.

HOORAY FOR NOT USING NEITHER EARTH TONES WITH PASTELS NOR CMYK ON DARKS! I also like the drawing quite a bit. The "golden boy" thing doesn't come across as far as the apple leaf is concerned, but your overall concept comes across loud and clear without it. This and "brainstorm" are by far your best subs (but brainstorm should have been on white, dammit!).

I like the art, but I think the colors need some help.

Reminds me of Sam Keith's art for the Maxx, which is a good thing. :D
