you save all the brilliant ideas for the off-white tees?

unfortunately the colours i usually work with go for natural. Mainly because i like darker colours on a lighter background, and when you start with a dark background it leaves me less room. I dunno it's weird, maybe it's just part of being used to print design. Either way I am sure I could rework it =P

Nice. This could be a great shirt to do in the fading style too, and have the step two's "???" completely faded away as though it actually said something.

It's good but South Park did it first....sorry
bananaphone
   bananaphone on Oct 06 '06
*rolls eyes*

This is as much a ripoff as glennz thunderbird sub, or his design with darth vader hedge trimming. This is taking something that exists and converting it in a totally different way and format. I have seen this "3 step program" on far more than south park, and the thing that actually made me think of it was one time I was hanging out with a friend and her nerdy friends and was rather quiet due to a complete lack of sleep.

One of her nerdy friends wrote
1. Make conversation
2. ???
3. Profit!
on a postit note and gave it to me.

This is not a ripoff, southpark never featured a 3 step program t-shirt and this design doesn't feature any gnomes or underwear.

Thankyou for showing me once again how dense the threadless audience can be.

***I know a man named banana--of whose designs I am a big fanna--misunderstood by the masses--those pimpled dumbasses--should promptly be kicked in the canna!*** There you go bananaphone, never say that you've yet to inspire a limerick! This, like all your subs, is golden. :)

wow, it's cool to defend your work and all but take the chip off your shoulder man. people are entitled to their opinions, whether or not they like it or they don't. yeah, some people were tools with their comments but that's just part of the process of trying to sell something. rolling your eyes and making generalizations about the wit of people that frequent the site will certainly get you fans from some, but to the majority you look like an arrogant professional who thinks he is above the 'normal' people.
Loh
Loh on Oct 08 '06
i agree with you luense. bananaphone stop telling ppl to shut up, you better shut up too! & dun compare yourself with glenn, cos he is a genius artist and you are not. he made witty on his design ok and not ripoff!
bananaphone
   bananaphone on Oct 08 '06
Loh before you even begin to try and criticise me, have a grasp of the English language comparable to that of a 2nd grader. That might be of great help to you.
ljluense
ljluense on Oct 08 '06
hah. great response/explanation of your actions... just insult the other person (my actual 2nd grade cousin stopped doing that in kindergarten). while i'm sure that made you feel 'smarter', it only provides further evidence of your misguided attitude.
bananaphone
   bananaphone on Oct 08 '06
would your second grader cousin bookmark one of hundreds of designs just so he could come back and try out some lameass "comeback" for a comment that isn't even directed at them on the internet?

If someones going to be a stupid asshole, I'll say so. Just because it is in MY subs comments doesn't mean I can't point out such facts.

TripleXTrina on Oct 09 '06
Stop fighting. It's immature. As for the shirt, I don't like it for two reasons. One: I'm not a fan of your style. Obviously, that doesn't mean it's not good. I can't say for sure what's 'good' or 'bad' but I can tell you what I 'like' and 'don't like'. Two: Say what you will about this design being just as original as everything else on Threadless--I, for one, don't believe that. As illustration, I point you in the direction of your own work. I refuse to believe that this design is as inspired as, for instance, the one with the dinosaur and the decapitated guy. Bottom line: This is far from your best work. But it can't rain all the time. Best of luck on future subs.
bananaphone
   bananaphone on Oct 09 '06
When there's a design every week with the theme "unlocking my heart" or "one thing being unique in a crowd of others" yes this is as original as anything else on threadless if not more so.
