I would prefer the wolf/dog, to be better formed... like.. a little more obviously a canine...

Yeah, I can see what you mean about the wolf. I wish i had looked at more references so i could have avoided making an undefined canine with bad eating habits.

I would like this design more if the wolf/dog had limbs. It's looks like hes coming out of the ground.

why does the wolf appear to be sitting half in the ground? otherwise, pretty cool design.
