I really like this concept, very nicely done.
I would buy it.
And being a girl.. I would say go with the girl cause like stated above... you can find one that can cook and end up with your cake and be able to eat it as well.

thanks guys! i originally had the girl monkey look "prettier" but people were complaining it didn't look enough like a monkey and too human like. so i took out the pink lips huge eyelashes etc =D

i LOVE that the girl monkey looks like an ordinary monkey with a bow, actually! she's a different species, so why should she have to be attractive to OUR species? i hate how female animals in cartoons always have hair or an hourglass figure or some crap like that.

anyway, this rocks.

Reminds me of "Friends". Where Jovi was asked if he prefers food or sex. He got so confused that he says, he wants girls on bread.

Nice design, but I am not sure about the female monkey, looks a little fierce thou, or maybe it's just me.

i really like it, but the sign looks like it's coming from nowhere. make it look like it's either connected to the tree (branch like) or more clearly attached to it (nailed or something) and it'd be better. :O

the male monkey looks sad and the female monkey looks scary. if i was the [male monkey], i'd pick the [bananas] for sure! lol. but yes, i agree.. a [lady] who's good in the kitchen is the right choice. the concept is good though. i liked the blending or subtlety of the green shirt; and i love the [circle perimeter].

If it were a girl monkey deciding between a man and a banana, there would be another whole level of hillarity...but then the movie theme would be sadly lost i guess. plus, we all know that women don't have to make any hard decisions.
