I like what you are saying here, but maybe adding some stars with the same melting effect up in the top corner so that it looks a bit more like the US flag. I really do like it though! Keep working on it.

I had no problems figuring out what this was. I saw it instantly. I think anyone who has the same feelings probably would, too...

I knew it instantly. Though I don't want to come off as anti-American, I do want to show that I am dissappointed with the direction we are headed.... This doesn't quite do it.

After Tragon said it, I can't see anything but the cake. If I saw someone walking down the street with it, I'd think it was cake. Adjusting the proportion of the design to the shirt may help. Just play around with it some more. Size and re-size, you know?

Might be easier to distinguish if you put a star somewhere in there, if partially covered by blood/oil/whatever.

I think it's great as is. Not the most uplifting shirt, but it does what it's supposed to do. If you don't get it, you probably wouldn't agree with the sentiment anyway.

I really like it as a start (keep the colours and add more stripes and some stars or skulls in place of the stars) then id buy ; )

Seriously folks, if a slice of cake is the first conjured image that comes to mind, you need help. I have never seen a cake with black frosting.

i like the concept. if i needed to make a critique i would say think about adding another line. i think it may make it a little clearer.
