the "warning" sign language of the road block.. (it looks more like a road block than a steeplechase fense) ... is a symbol created by western society and presumably the rider with the tricorn hat (who's looking away) .. is also an image of western civilization... the older kind..
Also the body language of the horse does not communicate motion or jumping... (im not sure at this point if it was meant to or not... ) ... with his head down he kinda looks defeated...
however the rider does have his sword drawn (haha it was "drawn" haha) .. so theres just alot of mixed messages..
Also the dice on the posts are interesting and make the viewer consider chance/risk/yeah board games...
im just not receiving the message...
is it that western culture needs to heed its own warning signs?
is it to say dont be defeated.. life's just a game?
Wow ^^ That was very in-depth. :) I'm afraid the whole idea is much simpler.
The whole thing is based on the boardgame called RISK (an american boardgame):
- The horseman is one of the plastic gamepieces
- The red and white dice are from RISK as well (red for attacker, white for defender)
- The barrier is just a regular common barrier from horse showjumping I threw in
yeah there are horsemen, and foot soldiers and cannons, they correspond to numbers but there is no 3. By they way design person, i love risk, so rock on.
