Oh, wow! SHK is right! There's a moon, and stars, and silhouettes! Must be a rip of that design! No, wait, ET did it like 20 years ago. Just because someting has similar elements does not make it a rip. This is an entirely different concept, executed with similar elements. I love this design. It's playful but has a great concept and perfect execution. The details in the giraffe eating and the monkey stretching to reach the top of the moon are great! Great design! $5

When was that other shirt submitted, because I had this idea and drawing weeks ago and blogged about it before even submitting it...

About the Pollock design- the teeshirt was submitted to that site in the last seven days meaning that he either ripped ME off, or he/she just had a similar idea. I had blogged about this design weeks ago and tried to submit it to threadless three times (meaning it took like three weeks) before it went up because it had template issues, threadless I'm surecan confirm this. So it looks like if anything at all, the idea was stolen from me... and i'd appreciate people on this site coming to inaccurate assumptions! Thanks everyone :)! |

Holy crap, I've been looking for YEARS for a story that I used to read as a child, about a cat that fell in love with a star and climbed a tree to try and reach it. Was this inspired by that, by any chance? And if so, do you know what the story's called?? I haven't been able to find it because I can't remember the title.

jwalsh on Aug 12 '06 chandra- i know what you mean about the story i'm pretty sure i was told it or something similar when i was little too and this design was definitly at the least subconsiously inspired by the stories i would hear when i was little about reaching for the stars :) unfortunatly i do not remember the name though!

anyone seen that airline commercial where all the animals stacked on each other and the monkey waved at the passenger as they flew by, thanking the airline for it's eco-safe stuff or whatever? not saying you ripped it. just reminded me of that. |
