I like it but I'm not sure if I like that the etch a sketch itself is asking for food instead of a homeless person. If I saw some homeless person offering to sketch for food, I'd totally take them out to eat.
the idea is so awesome, but that hat looks really weird. is the etch-a-sketch wearing the hat, or did the homeless guy leave the hat there? Are the bottles supposed to help us get perspective on the size of the etch-a-sketch, cuz right now they look really small. If you really mean the etch-a-sketch itself is going to etch for food, it should have some arms. then the confusion would be gone.
yeah, if the etch a sketch is meant to be the actual homeless "person" then i think you have to make it more anthropomorphic. Make the little knobs like eyes or something and make that crack in the middle its little sad mouth or something like that. Otherwise, i dig your style
i dig the design and the position. and i don't think you need to personify the etch-a-sketch at all. the idea is very clear. the hat is detail enough to get across the message.
Great concept, but I'd work on the illustration a bit more. I'm not too fond of the quality of the drawing.. The bottles, grate, and gutter's lack of texture clash a bit too much with the wall, hat, and Etch A Sketch. Work on surface textures and relating them to one another.
