3/5 for the concept, with the hope that the image will progress. :) I say go with the grayish and cream color shirts. Yellow, though perky, is harsh and distracting. |

you know what could be cool - if you just did an elephant in the giraffe print - its simpler, very graphic, and cute as hell. It will be funny too, because it will be so obvious that the elephant is not a giraffe because of its shape, but the uniformity of the spots would make it a bit indistinguishable.

Papaprime on Jul 25 '06 Copy/paste?! Sure, the giraffe heads from the jawbone to the snout is the same, but I'd hardly call this whole peice copy/paste. And I personally don't see anything good coming from a realistic giraffe head and a non-realistic elephant face.
Can't change people's opinions though. :| |

Papaprime on Jul 25 '06 I chose to keep the front leg hidden, as it would have to be angled oddly to show it. The angle it should be sticks ou so little that it would look like a weird shadow to the front leg.

I think I am the only person so far to comment about how good this shirt is. I interpret it as a giraffe as being a bit "dumb," if you would. He is blind to the fact the it is an elephant. Plus why would you need a police linup? they are roaming fields!

I think this is funny. It would be pointless to change the design to try to make it "make sense," since duh, it's an elephant trying to pass as a giraffe, which is silly. It's not quite clever enough for me to wear, but it's not far, either.

I think it would be better if the giraffe head on the end of the elephants trunk looked a bit cobbled together out of cardboard or something.
I also like the idea someone else gave of just having the elephant in giraffe print with no giraffe head. |

I give you props for the time spent on the giraffe. I think the elephant could use a bit more detail in certain areas. For instance i might have put some "nails" on hit feet. As well as change the tone of the bottom foot.

Papaprime on Jul 27 '06 Not neccesarilly. I purposefully didn't put a "sock" like design on his trunk. I didn't want to shirt to go too far in the comedy route, so I made the trunk "become" the neck and head.
I don't know. just an idea I had kicking around I wanted to bring to life. |

I love it. The execution isn't perfect, but it's too damn f unny. Most people, when walking past on the street, won't notice weird angled legs/"copy/paste"/how the elephant could use more detail. It's an elephant next to a giraffe ... with a giraffe "disguise". It's funny. The end.

I like it, great idea.
The giraffe's other front leg should be drawn in somewhere...he looks off balance. I agree with adding toenails to the elephant. They are too big to be overlooked :-) and the elephants tusks should be a bit longer so their noticeable. I think it's funny. Adding a police line-up would defeat the idea and giving the elephant giraffe spots wouldn't be as clever. |

I did purposefully put minimal details on the elephant to lessen his presence in the design, but I do think a bit more definition (toe-nnails and the like) could have been added to balance out what little detail I did give him. |

i don't like how the giraffe heads are the same. i would love it if the elephant had a more cartoony giraffe head as a disguise. as if he had made it himself or sumthing.
