I don't think I'll ever understand the people that don't actually put substance for their comments. I mean, the person that makes the submission takes a ton of time. Even if it sucks. Input always helps, not like, a word. Thank you for your helpful comments. It's not supposed to mean anything. Just a picture. Like half the stuff on this site.

Is he drinking something? Or is it a tin can that he's talking into?

I think the red behind his head is nice, but if it didn't end so abruptly it would look better (in my opinion). Maybe adding a few more rays of red behind him would help outline his head.

I really like the pinstripes! It's a nice concept. I hope my comments helped you out. :-)

Interesting but maybe not on black? Don't now if that would be better on a dark gray or something to make out more detail.

If it's on a dark gray I don't think it looks as good. I'll put up a picture real quick, I'm doing stuff with it right now anyway.

There's all the black on grey, which looks all right, maybe with a darker grey but I'm assembling an entire portfolio and don't want to take the time to fix it.

And there it is with all the black regular on grey. I prefer it with less detail. He's drinking out of a cup. Well, I am. It's an old picture of me that basically could be any guy with similar hair, which is nice because that way nobody can look at it and notice that it's me. I like images that are defined by their shape and not by their outline, like in Samurai Jack, how often there isn't an outline for the characters. I could extend the red, but adding more stripes kind of takes away from the asymetry of it all. I originally had it with 4 stripes and it kind of killed it. Thanks ya'll.

It reminds me too much of the Japanese flag pre-Occupation. It's still an interesting design, though.

It feels Asian to me as well, I just couldn't place it. I think if I took out the red it wouldn't look like that, but I liked it. I keep on checking back. I think I am watching my first baby grow up, and it didn't die after the first day. I feel good about that.

I think it look svery cool, like one of those freeze scenes in the middle of a CB episode. Menacing and I love it on black. The cup makes it slightly humorous in light of all the mencae.

It reminds me of franz ferdinand [the band, not the assassinated Archduke of Austria]. I also like his ear...it looks like an industrial is in it. The pinstriping only adds goodness to this. $5

Liking it! But since it has a stright line at the bottom, I would place the design t the very bottom of the tee as well.

fwuzzle, let me tell you, I watched my brother work on it FOREVER and it doesn't mean anything. and it's a cup. it's just a cool design that doesn't mean anything, like half the stuff on the site. my favorite is how the pinstripes define the suit. it's a picture of my brother drinking out of a cup that he reworked in illustrator. I happen to like it.

It's pretty cool, I just really dont like all the shadowing around his eye ... but other than that, I really like it.

Thanks guys. Should it somehow win, I'll do what Threadless wants, but since I'm just a rookie, I'd be glad to resubmit it with some of those changes. If you've met me, which only one of you have, you'd probably notice that my eyes are like, sort of Colin Greenwood or Christopher Walken-ee, hence the extra shading because they are sunken deeper into my head. But yeah, well, I'm just happy that it made it past the 24 hour mark, so that's a success for me. Thanks ya'll.

does it need a point? some shirts don't, and this is one of them. no, it's not clipart, it's hard work in illustrator that you obviously have no appreciation for. But that's not our problem :)

yes, it needs a point. it's a t-shirt. if it was a beautiful design then it wouldn't need a point.

and if by hard work you mean taking out the pen tool and tracing a photograph then i don't buy it

Morning entry, somebody told me the exact same thing. Kristy, chill out. Seriously. I don't care all that much. I wouldn't say hard as much as time consuming and all that, but at least I don't have two guys hugging as my picture.

The design choices and everything really are tremendous, that is the colors and the hands and stuff. The red really pulls in some cool asian feel. But the cup really just isn't all that exciting. I'd much rather see the cup or the suit or something fit into some thing more asian. Like maybe if the cup was see through and something interesting was going on there. The Red asian stripes tend to mean war or something, so it might be kinda cool to involve that,but I don't know you could use the cup. Maybe some planes?
