A geeky fact for you:
An upside-down superman emblem means 'Resurrection'.

Why would an upside down superman emblem mean 'Resurrection' ? He still wears the same 's' when he comes back....

because superman's symbol is not actually just an elaborate 's', it is a character from his kryptonian language , much like a character from Japanese Kanji. I am pretty sure everyone should know this.

frick i get alot of chicks.

I never saw any other kryptonian kanji in his origin stories until Superman: The Movie. All the other emblems looked like crop circles it was like whoever was in charge of designing them totally ignored what superman's looked like. Smallville's version of the S is just the opposite, you get the notion that its something alien that looks like something human. Based on the context clues in the first movie all the people you see wearing emblems are statesmen and such, Jarel was a scientist, so I think they represent their status in society. But not like a kanji, like a logo or a badge because I don't think they'd be wearing a suit to work everyday with "scientist!" on it. Unless the Kryptonians were Commie's! hmmm Ja-rel, Kim Jong Il, Kal-el, Mao....ZOD! now it all makes sense.......

The idea that Superman's emblem is actually a kryptonian character or word or symbol is older than the movies. Ma Kent didn't put an "S" on his shirt, she put the only symbol that ... oh God, why am I typing all that?
Ok, I think the design is clever, and if you want to pick up comic book geeks (who are, I should warn you, absolutely animals in the sack - so don't say you didn't get a warning) this would be the shirt to wear, since they'll all come up and tell you about the Kryptonian alphabet.
Crisp execution, interesting idea. Four.
