There's actually a company called Unlearn, and they make various t-shirts with Unlearn printed on them, including some that have that kind of retro feel. If you look under "see" and "products" at http://www.unlearn.com/ you can see their designs.

If the faces are going to be scratched out, maybe the rest should be less distressed so we can tell without the whole thing looking over-distressed.
