Only about 1 in 100 baby sea turtles make it to the sea. This is because there are many predators between their nests and their watery destination. Wish them luck, they have a long way to go.

So cute! But just fix the shadow, k? It makes it look like the turtle is very far off the ground when, really, it should be pretty much crawling on the ground. But I love the idea and the start!

i thought i had the shadow right?? i'm certainly not complaining, but i thoguth the sun setting would elongate the shadow behind him and since the shadow is connected on 3 of the 4 legs, it only looks like 1 leg is off the ground...crawling to the ocean. but i'm not sure, what can i do to fix it do you think? thanks everyone!

it's because the head on the shadow is all the way to the back of the shadow. if the head is almost at the same level as the tail, as it would be in a turtle walking stance, i would probably actually not even be showing. the shadow would probably be elongated and alot more distorted. for a shadow to be so close to the actual shape of the object, the object would almost need to be directly in between the light source and the surface that the shadow is being cast onto. shadows are pretty tricky, especially if you aren't looking at a reference picture. there's so many things that can change about it... the angle and intensity of the light, the shape and position of the object, and the shape, texture, luster, position and relative location of the surface the shadow is being cast upon. maybe just use a reference picture, and it would be alot simpler.

wow, im in way too much of a typing mood... i think sometimes people dont give constructive criticism because it's way easier to say "needs new shadow" or something ha ha

i LOVe your design man, i love the idea, i love sea turtles, i love sunsets... i love it, so cute.

The baby turtle must make his way over the boobies to reach the sea. Love it.

I have to agree with amy122166, I love the concept but I think the execution isn't great. For me it's just a lack of detail, I don't mind the shadow too much but there seems like so much negative space, which I guess makes sense with the whole 'huge empty beach to conquer' concept, but the lack of detail in the turtle and the sun particularly makes this look half finished to me. Sorry. 3 for the concept and effort, could have been much higher though.

i think the shadow just needs to be skwed so it looks alil flatter... but i think this is the sweetest thing... ive always felt bad for those little baby turtles...

Hey hi I like this but I don’t because it’s crap with the shadow at a 35 degree angle to the back of the turtle and also it doesn’t react with the soil on the beach it just sits there on the ground and doesn‘t work like a sony psp after 2 hours. Also the tint of the shadow is too dark could you lighten it up a bit the sun doesn’t make light that dark when it bends around us duh. Other than that I like it but please do it over again and make the turtle have more lines on it maybe his shell can say “bookin it” and give him a scooter haha that would be funny you could make it say *toot toot*! Other than that it’s fine but fix the shadow because the shadow doesn’t look like a shadow it looks like an unshadowshadow Sorry I accidentally typed shadow instead of a periodshadow >;/

Cute and tasty. And here is a recipe for making baby turtles omelet.

You will need:
=============
1 baby turtle
1 egg
1 tea spoon of butter
Some cheese

Preparation:
===========
Boil turtle for 3 min in water.
Brake and stir the egg + cheese.
Warm some butter in a frying pan.
Cut the turtle (with it's shell, it is still quit soft in baby turtles) into small pieces.
Mix egg and cheese.
Fry.

Serve hot with 2 toasts and butter.

Hope you like that.

(and if someone didn't understand I was just joking…)

i think you might want to try and lose the harsh black shadows in your designs. they usually don't turn out so well on a shirt.

it doesn't need the shadow at all. And I wish the turtle had more detail. Cute idea.

nice idea, but the images and detail needs improvement so if this isn't printed, you need to improve those for your next design submission. the shadow looks as if the sun is higher, but the sun is shown as setting down

it's good. look at andy's comment way up there. the light source is REALLY right in front of the turtle. so the fact the shadow has a head is what makes it look goofy. but otherwise superb.

It's definitely cute, especially for a young child. However, picturing it on anyone older reminds me of the sci-fi kid from school that was totally into museums before everyone realized they were cool and would be beaten relentlessly every day.

...no, I wasn't that kid...as far as I know...
