Theowlrulestheworld, you have a very rude way of commenting. constructive critisism? hello? ring a bell?

anyway, i really like this peice. is he wearing a mask?

actually yes, he is wearing a mask. and thanx for the comment. it's strange how skewed our views are on what we like and don't like these days.

I guess the idea is that he's canoeing through the atmosphere? I like it, but I think if the canoer was passing through a cloud like the mountains are poking out of, it would be more effective. The foreshortened oar is WAY too big -- overwhelms the design. Great start, Otis. I still gave it a 4.

Interesting use of the blue of the shirt. Of course, if somebody hates the color blue...

very interesting perspective, and great use of negative space.
the face/mask is a bit confusing, [due to its angle]

Took me a while to work out that you are seeing the paddle from under the water... very surreal, I quite like the idea

Hmm put some white colored cloudy designs beneath the boat, so it's more apparent that the boat is in the sky, but cool idea

I like the paddle, but the mask/head thing is throwing me off. It just looks like his neck is craned at a very uncomfortable angle.

The left paddle is just a little too big for my liking. Great use of negative space, though.

I really love the perspective, but the mountains are too small and distant on the shirt. It leaves the rest of the shirt seeming too empty. The cloud idea sounds good, or you could just drop the mountains and make the boat larger on the shirt (but that will drop the fact that he's boating through the air?)

whoa! I just saw a desing with an astronaut "canoeing" in the sky, so I'll ask the same question: Has it anything to do with "la Chasse-Galerie"? old french canadian story (or legend) were men made a pact with the devil so they could fly in the sky with their canoes for one night...

oh well, I like it, but wait... the more I look at it, the more I get confused...is he in the sky, or we (the viewer) are underwater...

Would remove both paddle and keep the one he has in his hand.
Otherwise, great.

Ah? It might have a bit more substance if there was less negative space. Waves in the water, perhaps. It calls to mind an emptry room with a couple of shoes tossed in the middle of the floor.
