This sub refers to the painting Coronation of Napoleon, and the story that Napoleon, when crowned emperor of France, took the crown from the pope an placed it on his own head. Well I thought it had a funny correlation with the checkers phrase \"king me!\" and.. a few artistic and historic liberties and several, several hours later, I have this submission, which integrates the joke visually with a checkers board and game pieces. In addition to this, I think the sub raises even a few more funny possibilities:

1. Did Napoleon wish to be crowned emperor of France simply because he hopped across a life-size checkers board? Possibly in diagonal fashion?
2. Does Napoleon have this ceremony every time he is \"kinged\" in checkers?

The possibilities are limited only by your imagination and free time.

I love how everyone but Napoleon looks very bored, haha. Neat design and nice style.

Napoleon is really great! very nicely done. the rest is not that good (in my opinion).

i think his hight is well portrayed in this. and i remember reading that he did actually put the crown on his own head, but that was planned earlier. this is good. i love this. napoleon is a fun character. i do infact enjoy the text, i dont know french but i think it means king me! this looks like the kind of work that will be printed.

I like the text too. I think it would be fun if it were a word balloon coming from Napoleon's mouth (but the same typeface, because of course Napoleon speaks only in such a fancy typeface).

In this context, text/speech bubble would be both acceptable and almost necessary. I certainly didn't get it immediately. Even with the "Roi moi!" printed, I'm sure I'd have to explain the joke to many people. Which implies I would certainly wear this.
