why are they melting? are they getting too close to the sun. although i love drips normally just not sure here. still love it 5

i love how whimsical this is, but the tire-melting is really unnecessary.

I like the tired melting, I love everything about this design, more colour options however would be nice.

there is not any real explanation for the drips, this was from one in a series of drawings of cars floating away i did, all loosely derived from an earlier drawing i had done of a man floating away--leaving his boots behind as his legs stretched apart like taffy-- which was a daydream i had while roasting in thailand during the hot season. it is just a vestige of the earlier drawing, and with the car drawings i was only trying create an image, without any explicit meaning.

I took digiphotos of toy cars on little molded armatures [for the angles] transferred basic lines with graphite rubbing, used technical pen [i was an arch. student] then scanned them into the computer, did some minimal cleaning and changed the originally black ink to orange, offsetting the whitefill. i will try to post a link to the original drawing.
