Exquisite corpse (also known as Exquisite cadaver) is a method by which a collection of words or images are collectively assembled, the result being known as the exquisite corpse or cadavre exquis in French. It is a technique used by surrealists, and is based on an old parlour game called consequences in which players wrote in turn on a sheet of paper, folded it to conceal part of the writing, and then passed it to the next player for a further contribution.

hope you enjoy it ;-)

The explanation of the design, process, subject and execution is extremely interesting. I would be sad to wear the shirt and not know that about it (although it would be pretty damn tough to casually work all that into a conversation: "Hey, you know, we were talking old French parlor games the other day...")
While I get that the integrity of the homage demands the shadow technique, because of how dense the design is I confess it does "blur" it somewhat for me. I suspect that a different color pallete might help with that -- if the shadow were not a shade of the color of the shirt itself, perhaps? (Maybe I just need a new monitor). I give you a Five for the design itself, and I would give you more if I could just for explaining and being inspired by 'exquisite corpse'. (Just me, or is that a band name waiting to happen?)

I'm sure it's already a band name. TMBG also have a song called "exquisite dead guy." It's not an uncommon concept--most people have probably played the game in grade school, though possibly not under this name.

I like the blur effect.

looks cool, but it reminds me too much of a Hurley shirt a friend of mine has. 3 for the design and layering.

the overlay seems a bit excessive; takes from you design. Pimpin tho!

I agree, it would be nice without the overlay shadow effect...

I'm an english teacher and I don't think this design represents exquisite corpse at all. Sorry. Some things aren't meant to be put on a t.
