I think it's definately influenced by 1950s pop art, which is cool. I think the font needs to be more "stressed" have some sort of strange edge to it, instead of straight type.

Yea it's going to be hard to escape all the Hentai comparisons in this day and age dude. I think just about everyone who has ever opened an IM has seen La Blue Girl.
