solid 5 dude. can't tell if the cowgirl is a elvgren (evlgren, sp?) pin up re vectored, but i don't care. well done.

yeah, shit, it's from this.
http://www.moppinup.com/mop/elvgren/cowgirl.jpg great re-vectoring of it though, and working it in, changing the arm, etc. i'm iffy now, but i still like the whole thing! |

Totally hot, but I'm disappointed that it's a Gil Elvgren girl. Also, is that *your* name (hogboy) on the bomb?
|
|
Trav is right, the Elvgren clan are copyright hounds. still the colors and layout are awesome. And someone else remembers ZIPATONE! Yehaw, BasicShift!

yeah, you changed it up a little bit from the original, but i still like the design and the idea.. maybe you could draw your own cowgirl to put with the design?
|
|
Copyright infringment or not, you've done a great job mixing old & new. And that halftone background ties everything together perfectly.

concept is great, love the bomb, but agree with the need for redrawing the cowgirl. [her shading makes her look a bit odd]
great design. |

This reminds me of the Dvice clothing illustration we got for a Nexus article a while back. I really like the illustration and I have a feeling you might be the same person that we interviewed?

Excellent attitude, hogboy. I'm voting 5 on this just for your mature response and plans to rework it into a design that's more of your own work.

I LOVE THIS. I'm very into the 40s and 50s style right now, and this almost vintage print fits it perfectly. I would buy it immediately.

It reeks of Dr. Strangelove. If I liked the movie I would be into it. Even though that cowboy was a boy... Hmm. Mixed feelings. Good work, bad connections.
|
|
I really like this, but I think you could get away with out the world (or whatever it is) in the background.

Cool design. I'm a big fan of Elvgren and would love a shirt like this.
As for copyright, Brown and Bigelow licence pictures for use if it was one Gilette did for them. |
