It was pretty so-so, but then I found out it was a Dane Cook joke and it was even worse!

I love how this is getting refered to as "the dane cook joke" instead of people knowing about the real kool-aid man commercials, or even the family guy take on this very same commercial. But more power to you little young generation.

If it helps or hurts, this has nothing to do with Dane Cook. I suppose he does talk about the Kool-Aid man... but he talks about a lot of things, right? Be careful if you ever do a design that has anything to do with something Dane Cook may have mentioned in passing, you guys.

Dane Cook INVENTED the kool-aid man in his youth. He actually worked for the corporation.

The idea of the kool-aid man was dying, as kids were not connecting to the smilin' pitcher in any way. But Dane's idea to make the character "more extreme" came to fruition when he wrote the script for te first commercial where he burst through a wall.

Who the fuck is Dane Cook? And how can you find his joke funny if you don't understand where the character comes from? Appreciating satire requires knowledge of the person or thing being satirised. Otherwise, you're just giggling at funny faces and noises like an infant entertained by an over-indulgent uncle or aunt.

Looks a bit like the Anime Series GANTZ to me. They had equally disturbing character design (i.e. the onion man).

Anyone that thinks Dane Cook is funny should have there head examined. This guy is a tool. He brainwashed college kids through his web site to believe that he was the MAN. Which is total bull. This guy has a huge data base of robot fans that will pay to see him , and they only pay $17 to see him , if you don't believe me check out any college he has ever played at, but he has absolutely zero talent. The last time I was in New York I hung out at the "New York Comedy Club" and saw a comedian named "Robert Bella" , a cross between Steve Martin and Rodney Dangerfield , the funniest comic I have seen in years !!!! You want to laugh , see this guy , believe me you will thank me for the rest of your life. Make sure you call to see if he is performing , that way you don't go there just to see the average comedians.
