Correction to Randoom ^^ - www.thinkgeek.com has a very different shirt on the same topic. It's like how there's more than one shirt with a tree on it on this site.

iareddaniel: Well Pong was actually created way back in the late 40's / early 50's but, the Atari® Arcade version of pong was released in 1972 - I picked 1973 becuase, that was when Pong Mania was in full swing.... The shape I used is also from the screen of the early arcade version.

Actually, you can get a tiny more old school than Pong with Computer Space, but I'm guessing only us video game history geeks would know that :)

I agree with ilexwhite, 1976 seems like a magic number. For me it just seems to punctuate that the number is a year and not just a score.
