grayehound on Jul 04 '06 well drawn, tho the lines in the girl's hair aren't as confident as the outlines tend to be adn seem to be and afterthought. colors are okay, but the concept, tho funny, doesn't go much beyond the punchline

What we probably don't see is the ice cream stand/brass knick-knack shop/angry seagull in front of the car.
Man... what's up with those brass places? Why do they always set up in the mall? The only business I ever see them conduct is of the "going out of" variety. |

i agree with the cartoon of these characters idea. and so LOVE the bunny. it's great. and i disagree with grayehound. i think theres a great backstory. where are they comin from? where they goin? how come that stupid girl let the stuffed bunny drive? how come the bear had to sit in the back? i love this so so so so so so much. it makes me laugh a whole lot. $5 for f-ing sure.

Well, thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoy my shirt. But for what it's worth, I think I see where grayehound's coming from with the punchline comment. He doesn't think the shirt's bad for the normal competition. It just isn't going far enough for the Threadless hearts Threadless competition. And I agree with him to an extent. I don't think there's quite another shirt like this one, but I don't think I'm particularly breaking new ground. There are much bigger entrants in this particular competition.
In hindsight, I probably would have stuck to the normal ongoing comp to avoid the glare of those crucial T |
