Fantastic and true. What can a penny buy you? Nothing. I wouldn't mind one bit if everything I bought had the price rounded up 4 cents.

I have to agree with UDTC...I just counted a whole buncha pennies + nickels I threw into a jar over the past year or so and I came out with $10.51. Granted, only $3.81 was in pennies...

well...I like the title and the idea, but if I saw Abe Lincoln rising from a penny, I wouldn't think that it meant they were useless.

Too Americanized, threadless is international, i dig the design but i would never where that in Australia.

I like pennies, my friends dad saved up pennies he found for YEARS in these huge jugs, he ended up with about 300$. I also like leaving lucky pennies on the ground for people to find.

Coming from someone who lives in an apartment where the floor is littered with pennies b/c they are good for nothing other than throwing at roommates, I think this is great. Cool concept AND good execution.

I like the design. Wouldn't buy it for me since it's not my style, but the bf would so love it. He throws his pennies on the floor all the time, while I use them to pay the toll booths. =^_^=

i like this but it makes me sad that everyone is so anti penny... they are actually trying to get rid of the penny as we speak... what's gonna happen when u should be getting 6 cents back as change? Are they gonna raise taxes to compensate? Will the stores just keep the extra as profit? Pennies are still essential!
Nevertheless I still really like this shirt... I guess I view it more as a homage to 'em. :) |

nunzilla- You are correct... this design is an homage to the penny. It's sure to be phased out some day due to the copper being used to create the penny is worth more than the penny itself. Good bye penny... say hello to indian head buffalo nickel and Susan B. Anthony dollar.

Very nice. Very nice. I only worry that people won't make the connection between dead Lincoln and the uselessness of pennies. A personal favorite though.

impossiblejosh on Jul 06 '06 listen i used to think that the same thing, why the hell do i need to pick up a penny when im cleaning. Its just a penny, i'll sweep it into the corner. but when i went to the philipines, i saw kids digging in the trash for cans to recycle. thats 5 cents right? 5 pennies, so i figure if that kid can dig in the trash, i can ben down my fat lazy american ass and pick up pennies and save them. i think this shirt is more offensive than shooting JFK in the head design. Its a terrible message about how us americans are so great we can throw away money. any how, im not that offended. they're just worth something to me. |
