i love the concept & the people, but i wish you would've done more with the background rather than a big blob. maybe more of a scene or something.

the overall concept is pretty good, but there's plenty of room for improvement. the typefaces are too similar and choice of characters not carefully enough considered to emphasize the point. the meaning behind the use of letterforms is also inconsistent, making the background extraneous. the stance of the figures come across really well, though.

I think it's fab how the postures of the two figures came out so well! Normally my typographic disputes end up in a couple rounds of fisticuffs and a nice soothing herbal tea. I shall now consider using my l's and d's for tragic effect in the future.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree with some of the comments on the background. I initially wanted the characters to be in a city street scene, but it got way to busy. I think the random background is a bit of a throw-away but does add some visual appeal and keeps the design from looking to contrived. I have seen some great subs in this competiton so far and I am looking forward to seeing which ones rise to the top.

I like it, but I'd like to see it without that lighter outline around everything for more contrast. You could put it on a lighter shirt or lighten the two figures. It looks great though. Nice work!
