I think this is pretty cool. I'm going to study to be an architect and I have to use the X-acto a lot. Especially the #11 blade. $5

gosh, where did that come from sheppard? does this shirt even have anything to do with "the whole 'i hate my life' thing"?
how is it even emo?
oh oh, there's a knife... it must be emo.
i think its good, not sure about the colours though.

Now that I know it's a #11 exacto, I like it, but knowing I'd have to explain it to friends equally as unaware works against you.

wow some people don't know their art supplies.
NUMBER ELEVEN X-ACTO BLADES!!!
pretty much the most popular, most used blade.

considering this is a DESIGN website, it's sad to see that at least a few of you immediately thought OMG BLADES!! EMO BULLSHIT!

so. i think the idea is pretty nifty, however seeing how most people wouldn't understand this, i'm not sure i'd wear it. the design could also be spiffed up quite a bit.

ps sheppard53 is an asshole.

I understand it, but I don't know why you would want to wear this as a shirt.

I had no idea what that a #11 exacto knife was a common design tool, but this shirt obviously has nothing to do with cutting...

I don't think my description was posted with the design.
This was made from scanning actual #11 blades, looking closely reveals the remnants of the etched text.
I was interested in doing something so simple that it bordered on being not-design, something so "dumb" or "empty" that it bordered on being not-clever.
now on a crt, i realize color choice was way off on my home monitor.
All of your comments are appreciated.

i just noticed that the four blades were being put together to make a '#' and that the two blades/handles were making an 11. i think it needs to be worked on. 2

I'm pretty surprised most people here thought "emo" instead of "graphic design."

geez. I cut myself with my x-acto all the time... just not intentionally :)

anyway, interesting design... but not for a tee shirt.

Sorry if my comment came out the wrong way.

I wasn't aware that this had some meaning in design.

Just saying that most people will look at that negatively instead of what you really want it to mean.
