This looks like it has gradients, but it could be just me...

The bulletholes (I'm assuming that's what they are) look really flat. If it looked a bit more like the stuffed animal had actually been shot I'd like it more. The chick looks good though.

I agree - the holes need work.

The holes need to be 3-dimensionalized.

No, there's no gradient ... only four colors.
And maybe you're right, about holes ... but it would need a fifth color, no ?
(sorry if my english is not good)

I don't see how the gradient look isn't working.
But I also don't see the point in this design?

^ you can't have gradients in a shirt print design, as stated in the qualifications. I'd suggest for the "bullet holes" either your darkest shade or lightest (play with it and see what works) in a lumpy cresent moon shape. Lumpy to mimick the look of the stuffing and crescent moon shaped to convey the depth without having to sacrifice the shirt's color being seen entirely.

so you photoed the bird back and front, took it into PS, dropped to 4 colours and then drew on 4 lines and some circles?

I really like it, I'd probably by this if the bullet holes were a little more 'realistic', but I can understand the limitations placed on you by the submission guidlines. I hope it gets picked so you can send them over a nicer looking version.

They look like they've been attacked by a hole punch. I like that better than bullet holes. Someone in this office is cruel.

I would totally buy this. It has some odd quality that makes me love it. Dig the color combo too.

It reminds me of Gonzo's Camila ( or however that's spelled ) doll. I think.

I didn't even think 'bullet holes' at first, I thought of those weird sticky things that you put on your car window, cause he looks like a guy to do that...then I thought weird placement so...lol I'm a dumas$ anyhoodle I still like the idea

You fail at making any sort of effort.

It reminds of this thing I saw in hot topic. Except it was a hamster. Or a squirrel.

i don't get the whole "story" behind why there are holes in the chick in the first place.

It looks like a stuffed animal was attacked by a hole puncher. Made 3-Dimensional for sure. I like the style of the chicks a lot though. I don't think I would wear this though, it's not my own personal style.

you could just use the lightest yellow as fluff around the holes?

It's cool... But scary. Did it get attacked at Office Max? With a Whole Punch? LOL. Sorry for my sucky humor... But yeah. Ficks the Wholes (*slaps knees*) and it's good!

Hm not sure I get what the dots are for, but the image looks pusedo 3D. Almost makes me question the number of colors. I dig the design though

I think it's more of a screentone than a gradient, but yeah. I like this. Maybe if you just made the holes appear deeper by putting a solid color in there. They could look like cylinders.
