hey all... the comment i left didn't show up (again) so here's the explanation for the shirt:


So i was just going to sleep when i randomly had this idea, and i thought it'd be alright... something different from the hordes of grunge and vectorsilhouettes that are spewed out.
I made it a little uneven (or 'humanized' if you like) which i think gives a bit of character. Its not to the extent where the neat orderly people among you will get annoyed, but if you see the slight variation in placement, there's no need for alarm :)

oh, and the smoke isn't part of the design (although if people like it...)

in terms of the background, i think it adds to the 'homely' feel like a crossstitch conjures up for me. without it i think the shirt would lose some of the effect particularly from a distance. but you guys are the bosses !

well yeah, lose the steam cause it messes up the effect of cross stiching, i think...and keep the background if you like, but maybe not in a lighter brown? because then it just looks like a wierd crappy iron on or somethign

hang on... when you are talk about the 'background' do you mean the white and red checks, or is the whole design in a brown rectangle ?

there's not meant to be any solid block color like an iron on would produce, so unless theres a SLIGHT color variation and its showing up on your monitors...

ok i just realised that i forgot to colorpick the background of my image and somehow i got a slightly different shade of brown.
so let me clarify:

my design does NOT include the rectangle around the whole image!
