where do you get the patterns and birds, did you create them yourself, or did you scan them in and vector them. I'm just trying to get a better feel for the process people go through, so I can figure a way out for myself.

jwalsh on Jun 29 '06 crowe- the birds are drawn in illustrator (a few were traced using the pen tool from a photo but most i ended up drawing looking at the other ones so i could get them in different angles and positions) for paterns u can make a lot of cool line art using parts of letters in fonts and than turning it into outlines and using different strokes that there are.. as well just doing free hand lines and shapes. also live tracing photographs youve taken can sometimes turn interesting abstract line art. i dont know if this helps?

just a side note: i just saw two of your subs in the last four that i voted on, and your pictures (yes, plural) come out very blury when you try to use the zoom. i like looking at exact detail when i vote.

freedomhangslikeheaven: if you wouldn't mind telling me how to get them in photoshop under 70kb than they'd be able to zoom. i tried lowering resolution but nothing works. the only thing i can figure out is bringing them into flash but than u cant zoon :(!! |
